Would you like to be the next member of the Phoenix? Even if you don't wish to be an active firefighter, we are always in the need for help with fundraisers, maintenance, community relations, grant writing, emergency medical responses, web design... The list of jobs goes on.  

If you are interested in firefighting, the Phoenix Fire Department works to ensure your safety. All new members enter into a mentoring program with a experienced member (usually an officer). The Phoenix Fire Department does not allow new members to actually perform fire suppression activities until they have received training and mentoring.

To join the Phoenix Fire Department fill out the application form along with a PA State Police criminal background check form. Then return these forms to the Phoenix Fire Department, accompanied with a fee of $5.00 You can also contact your neighbor hood firefighter for more information about joining the Phoenix Fire Department.
